Discovery Chooses Shep to Communicate COVID Policies to Travelers

According to an article from The Company Dime, Discovery, the company behind the Discovery Channel, HGTV, TLC, Animal Planet, and The Food Channel just announced via travel media site, The Company Dime, that they’ll be launching Notify by Shep in just a few months:

“The most important thing is giving travelers the important, relevant information at the time they’re booking their travel, rather than after,” said Yukari Catherine Tortorich, VP for global travel services at Discovery Inc. “Now you need pre-trip info before traveling even to another U.S. state.”

As noted in the article, “Although it has not traveled since March due to the pandemic, media company, Discovery Inc. is targeting Sept. 1 to implement software from Shep, a web browser extension that delivers customized alerts when corporate employees take certain actions on travel websites. Shep would guide Discovery travelers on policy, urging those who shop on consumer sites to use Concur Travel for reservations. It would also provide messaging on various aspects of duty of care, including Covid-19 advisories…”
