What do I do if I need to make a change or cancel my booking?

What if I need to cancel my flight, or modify the number of nights I’ll be staying at a hotel?

We’ve all been there.
Shep doesn’t change the way that you’ll accomplish those adjustments. Be sure to have your confirmation number handy and head to the site of purchase for making a change to your travel plans, the same manner as you did before.

What if I misplaced my confirmation details?

Don’t sweat it. In the event that you can not find your confirmation email, your HR administrator will have those details.

Will Shep automatically update my details?

When making changes, be sure to notify your HR administrator for updating company records. At this time, Shep’s record will not be updated automatically.

What if I Need to Book Something Outside of My Policy?

Will Shep stop me from booking outside of my travel policy?

Life moves fast and it doesn’t always fit within the company travel policy.  Shep won’t stop you from booking.

You will need to acknowledge that you are booking outside of policy.  We’ll provide an alert on the option that you have selected. Let your HR administrator know that you’re aware, then continue through the booking process. Get there!

Will Shep report my expenses?

Shep captures all of the details of your travel at the time of booking. The HR administrator of your account will receive a notification of your booking activity, but we do not replace your existing expense management and reimbursement processes.

Why Can't I Access Shep?

Wait a minute, why can’t I access Shep?

We’re really excited that you’re excited. Shep is currently in a (mostly) closed beta, so we’re working closely with companies that provide us with regular, constructive feedback to help us grow. If you want in, knock on our door by filling out our request access form. We’ll let you know when we’re ready for you to come in.

Who is my HR administrator?

If you’ve already downloaded our extension but are not able to log in, feel free to check with the Shep team via chat (the speech bubble in the lower left corner of our site. We’ll get back to you as quickly as possible.

Otherwise, you’ll need to contact the member of your team that oversees your travel policy. This might be your COO, your CFO, or whatever title you give to the jack of all trades that oversees the way that your team does business.

But I think my team needs Shep, what can I do?

Are you that jack of all trades that oversees the way that your team does business? If not, let them know! We’d be happy to explain in greater detail how your team could save thousands by introducing policy compliance that doesn’t force your team to book on corporate booking tools that they hate.

How Do I Get Shep?

I’m ready! How do I get Shep?

You’ll need to request access by clicking the request early access button on our homepage. We’ll let you know if your company is a fit. From there, it’s as simple as letting us know how your team travels and adding your team, then you’ll be ready to download our Chrome extension.

Which Browsers Does Shep Work With?

Shep currently only works with Google Chrome. We love all browsers but for us to get the tool to you quickly and add on new features and integrations, we have to focus on Chrome for now.

Why doesn't Shep work with all of the travel sites?

The Shep team works tirelessly to get the browser extension to show you what you should or shouldn’t book on as many sites as possible but it’s not easy.

We add an average of one new site a month so please let us know which ones you’d like to see most and we’ll see if we can move them up the list!

The browser extention currently works on:

  • Expedia
  • AirBnB
  • Orbitz
  • Travelocity
  • Southwest

In the works:

  • Agoda
  • Priceline
  • HomeAway

How can Shep help airlines, airports and/or their partners?

Our browser extension adds basic managed travel functionality (policy compliance, booking guidance, expense capture) to supplier and OTA sites so that the traditionally high value, high volume business travelers in unmanaged companies are able to book on them for much longer before moving to a large, managed OBT like Concur. We keep business travelers on consumer sites so that suppliers and OTAs can own the traveler data and relationships.
